This guide walks you through the core Weddingkart workflow from sign-up to sending your first announcement. By the end, you’ll have a wedding set up, a few test guests added, and a real message delivered.

Where you can use Weddingkart

Weddingkart runs in three places, and they all share one account: Your account is your mobile number. Log in with the same number on your phone and your laptop and you see the same weddings, guests, and messages. Changes made on one device appear on the others.
1

Create your account

Go to app.weddingkart.co (or open the Android or iOS app). On the Login or sign up screen, enter your number in Enter Mobile Number and tap Continue. You’ll receive a 4-digit one-time password (OTP) by SMS, on WhatsApp, or both. Enter it on the Enter OTP screen and tap Verify. If this is your first time, your account is created at this point. There’s no separate sign-up form.No credit card is required to create an account. See Logging in below for the details and what to do if the OTP doesn’t arrive.
2

Create a wedding

After logging in, tap Create Event. (On a brand-new account, tap Continue to create a wedding or Corporate event.)Choose A wedding, then fill in the details:
  • Your role — Bride / Groom / Family Member / Event Manager / Friend
  • Wedding Date — for a multi-day wedding, pick the first day
  • Bride’s Name and Groom’s Name
Tap Create Wedding. You’ll see 🎉 Your Wedding was created! and land on the wedding’s home screen. See Wedding Setup for every field.
3

Add a few test guests

Open the Guests tab. Tap Add Yourself as Guest to add your own number. To add 1–2 more, tap Add Guest and choose Add Manually. For each guest, enter their name and phone number. Use your own number or a colleague’s for this test so you can see exactly what the guest receives.
1

Send your first announcement

Open the Announcement tab, tap Add Announcement, and choose Send a ready-made message.
  • Pick a template, such as a wedding invitation, and open it
  • Fill in your message details
  • Attach a PDF, image, or video if you have one (such as a wedding invitation card)
  • Tap Continue to Add Guests and select your test guests under Individuals
  • Choose Send Now
Your test guests will receive a WhatsApp message within seconds. Check your phone — that’s the exact experience your real guests will have.
You’ve completed the full Weddingkart loop: create a wedding, add guests, and send a message. Now build it out for your real event:
The free plan lets you explore every feature in Weddingkart. The only limitation is that you cannot send messages to more than 5 guests at a time. Upgrading to a paid plan removes this limit so you can broadcast to your full guest list.

Logging in

  • Your number and country code. The number field starts on India (+91). If your number is from another country, tap the country code at the start of the field and pick your country before typing, or paste your full number starting with + and the country code. On Android, the app may offer the number from your SIM, which you can tap to fill in.
  • How the code is sent. Weddingkart sends the same 4-digit code by SMS and on WhatsApp. The Enter OTP screen tells you which one worked: “We’ve sent an OTP to your phone via SMS and WhatsApp.”, “…via SMS.”, or “…via WhatsApp.” When WhatsApp was used, a Go to WhatsApp link opens the chat where the code arrived.
  • How long it lasts. An OTP is valid for 10 minutes. Request a new one if it’s older than that.
  • Check the number. The Enter OTP screen shows Verify Mobile Number followed by the full number, including the country code. If it’s wrong, tap Entered wrong mobile no.? to go back and fix it.

If the OTP doesn’t arrive

  1. Wait for the countdown under the code boxes (Resend OTP in 00:59, for example) to finish, then tap Resend OTP. You can resend once a minute.
  2. Check WhatsApp as well as your SMS inbox. The code can arrive on either.
  3. Make sure the country code is right. A number with the wrong country code gets the code sent to a different number. Tap Entered wrong mobile no.? and re-enter it.
  4. Still stuck? Tap Facing trouble? Chat with us on the login screen to message the Weddingkart team on WhatsApp.

What’s free

Every account can use every feature without paying:
  • Free credits per wedding. Each new wedding starts with some free credits. Each WhatsApp message uses credits, and messages to numbers outside India cost more. See current prices at weddingkart.co/pricing.
  • Up to 5 guests per send. On a free wedding, one announcement can go to at most 5 guests. If you select more, the app shows “Since its a free wedding, you are not allowed to send message to more than 5 guests at a time” and doesn’t send.
  • No time limit on trying it out, other than the wedding’s own lifecycle (it becomes read-only 10 days after the wedding date).
Buying a plan for a wedding removes the 5-guest limit and adds credits. Plans are bought per wedding, not per account. See Payments & Credits.

Finding your way around

Your list of weddings

After you log in you land on your list of weddings under Your Weddings. From here:
  • Tap a wedding to open it.
  • Tap Create Event to start a new wedding or corporate event.
  • Use the search icon to find a wedding by the bride’s, groom’s, or event’s name.
  • Pin the weddings you use most so they stay at the top: long-press a wedding card and tap Pin Wedding. This option appears once you have more than 10 weddings, or while the search bar is open.
  • Tap the help icon to open Contact Support, which offers WhatsApp Chat, Phone Call, and Documentation.
  • Open the side menu (drawer) for your account options: Profile & Settings, Activity, Refer and Earn, Rate Us, Your WhatsApp numbers, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Delete account, and Logout.

Inside a wedding

The bottom bar has Home, Guests, Announcement, Chat, and a fifth tab. On a free wedding the fifth tab is Wallet, where you buy a plan. Once the wedding is on a paid plan it becomes More, a sheet with everything else:
  • Guest data — RSVP, ID Cards, Travel Tickets, Travel & ID, Mystery files, Export Guest Data, and Rooming
  • Wedding — Hampers & Gifts, Events, Team, Candid photos, and FAQ
  • Account & help — Wallet
The wedding’s Home tab shows, from top to bottom:
  • The wedding card with the couple’s names and date. The gear icon on it opens the wedding’s settings, where you can edit details or delete the wedding.
  • SENDING AS — the WhatsApp number this wedding sends from.
  • A countdown banner, only after the wedding date has passed. See Wedding lifecycle.
  • Getting Started — a 3-step checklist (Create your wedding, Add guests to your list, Send your first announcement) that tracks your progress, such as 2 of 3 done.
  • Send a Free Sample (while the wedding has sent very little) — tap Preview Invite on WhatsApp or Send RSVP to get a sample message on your own WhatsApp.
  • FEATURED — shortcut tiles such as Team, Candid photos, Activity, and Call Guests, plus other tools for your wedding.
  • Alerts, upcoming scheduled announcements, today’s tasks, and a progress overview.

Your first-day checklist

Work through these in order for a real wedding:
  1. Decide on the sending number. If you want guests to see your own business name, connect your WhatsApp Business number before you create the wedding. The number can’t be changed afterwards.
  2. Create the wedding with the correct date. For multi-day weddings, use the first day. See Wedding Setup.
  3. Add the events (Haldi, Sangeet, Reception, and so on) from Events, with dates, times, and venues.
  4. Add your team from Team so planners and coordinators can log in and help. See Team Collaboration.
  5. Import your guest list from Excel or add guests by hand. See Excel Import.
  6. Create groups such as Brideside, Groomside, or Hotel Guests. See Guest Groups.
  7. Send yourself a test announcement to check the wording and attachment.
  8. Buy a plan from Wallet when you’re ready to send to more than 5 guests at a time.
