Announcement Packs are curated collections of announcement templates that cover the full wedding communication journey — from the first save the date through to the post-wedding thank you. Instead of creating each announcement from scratch, you add a pack to your wedding and get a ready-made sequence in draft, ready to customize and send.

Available packs

Best for: Standard weddings, straightforward communication needs, or your first wedding on Weddingkart. Covers the essential communication touchpoints most weddings need: Timeline coverage: about 4 months before the wedding through 1 week after.

Pro Wedding Planner Pack

Best for: Professional event managers handling complex weddings with detailed logistics. A comprehensive sequence covering every stage: Timeline coverage: 7 weeks before through 2 weeks after.

How to use an announcement pack

1

Browse available packs

In the Announcements section of the app, find Recommended Announcement Packs (tap See all if there are more than two). Each pack card shows how many announcements it includes, and the pack most weddings use is tagged Used by most weddings.
2

Preview the pack

Tap a pack to see all the announcements it contains, each with its suggested timing. Tap an item to preview it:
  • A preview of the message with example values
  • Which parts are Editable and which are Fixed — cannot be changed
  • Suggested Timing relative to your wedding date
3

Add the pack to your wedding

Tick the announcements you want (or Select all), then tap Add N Announcements. You can always add more items from the same pack later — but adding an item you’ve already added creates a second copy of it.When you add the pack, Weddingkart creates each announcement as a draft with:
  • The pack item’s name (for example “RSVP Reminder”) as the announcement name
  • The correct template pre-selected
  • The couple’s names and wedding date filled in from your wedding
  • The guest name left to be filled in automatically for each guest
  • Other variables pre-filled with example values (not your actual details yet)
Adding a pack does not send or schedule anything, and uses no credits. Nothing reaches guests until you send or schedule each announcement yourself.
4

Customize each announcement

Go through the drafts and:
  • Replace example variable values with your actual wedding details (venue, times, and so on) and check the pre-filled names and date
  • Attach your wedding invitation card or other media where relevant
  • Tap Send it to me to see exactly what guests will receive
5

Schedule or send

Once each announcement is customized, schedule it for the suggested time or set your own. See Scheduling for how to queue announcements in advance.
Pack announcements are created as drafts with example placeholder values. Do not send them without reviewing and editing the variables first — guests will receive messages with sample content instead of your real wedding details.

Understanding suggested timing

Each pack item includes a suggested timing — how long before or after the wedding date that message should ideally go out, such as “1 week before”. The timings are shown in the pack’s list of announcements. When you schedule the announcement, count back (or forward) from your wedding date to pick the send date. For example, if your wedding is on December 15th and an item is suggested for 1 week before, schedule it for around December 8th. Use the suggested timing as a starting point. Adjust it to match your actual planning timeline and the couple’s preferences.

Things to check before sending pack announcements

  • Example values. Venue names, times, links and similar blanks hold sample text taken from real weddings. Replace every one — the editor’s preview shows exactly what will go out.
  • Couple’s names and date. These are copied from your wedding details at the moment you add the pack. If those details were missing or have changed since, correct them in each draft.
  • Attachments. Some items, such as the Wedding Invitation, are built for a card or photo. If the template needs one you can’t continue until you upload it (“This announcement can’t be sent without an attachment. Please upload one first.”).
  • Recipients. Pack drafts have no recipients yet — choose groups or guests for each one before sending or scheduling.
Once customised, a pack announcement behaves exactly like any other: same credits, same delivery report, same rules. See Announcements.
Announcement Packs use Weddingkart’s own message templates. If your event sends from your own WhatsApp number, adding a pack is refused with “Announcement Packs use WeddingKart’s own message templates, which aren’t registered on your WhatsApp number. Create your own templates for this number instead.” — see Create your own message templates.

Pack comparison

Choosing between packs

  • Use Core Wedding Announcements if the wedding is relatively straightforward and you want the essential touchpoints covered without overhead.
  • Use the Pro Wedding Planner Pack if you’re managing complex logistics, multiple events, outstation guests, or need detailed communication at every stage.
You can also add both packs to the same wedding and use items from each. Just review all the drafts before sending to avoid sending duplicate messages to the same guests.
Treat packs as a starting point, not a final product. The real value is having a solid sequence to customize — not using the messages as-is. Add the couple’s personality, specific venue details, and any event-specific instructions to make each message feel intentional.

Common questions

No. Adding a pack only creates draft announcements in your wedding. Nothing is sent, scheduled or charged until you send or schedule each one.
No. The pack itself is free. Each announcement uses credits only when it is sent, the same as any other announcement.
Pack drafts are pre-filled with example values so you can see what a finished message looks like. Replace them with your own details before sending.
You can change the parts marked Editable in the preview. Parts marked Fixed — cannot be changed are the WhatsApp-approved wording of the template.
No. The suggested timing is a guide. Schedule each announcement yourself — see Scheduling.
Each add creates a new draft, so you now have two copies. Delete the one you don’t need from your announcements list.
Yes. Tick just the items you want before tapping Add N Announcements. You can come back and add the rest later.
If the event sends from your own WhatsApp number, packs aren’t available — their templates only exist on Weddingkart’s number. Create your own templates instead.
